Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) - Highlands

An evidence-based, community health program with the goal of transforming lives of vulnerable, first time mothers living in low-income environments, by partnering with a registered nurse to improve prenatal care, quality of parenting, and life for mothers and families.

Program Goals:

  • Improve pregnancy outcomes.
  • Improve child health and development.
  • Improve parents’ economic self-sufficiency.

Who can enroll in the program?

Any pregnant woman who:
  • Is less than 28 weeks gestation
  • Will be a first-time mother
  • Meets low-income requirements, such as Medicaid or WIC eligible
  • Must be a Highlands County, Florida resident
